6.4 A net decrease under travel relates essentially to reduced requirements in relation to the travel of delegates, in respect of one visiting mission dispatched to Palau, Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, by the Trusteeship Council in March 1992.

Also at the same meeting, on the proposal of its Expanded Bureau, the Special Committee decided to suspend consideration of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands until 1995 (see para. 32), bearing in mind that a plebiscite regarding the Compact of Free Association had been held by the Government of Palau on 9 November 1993.

32. The Special Committee, by adopting the proposal of the Expanded Bureau at its 1432nd meeting, on 11 July 1994, decided to suspend consideration of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands until its 1995 session (see para. 18).
٣٢ - قررت اللجنــة الخاصــة، باعتمادها اقــتراح المكتــب الموسع في جلستها ١٤٣٢، المعقودة في ١١ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٤، أن ترجئ النظر في مسألة اقليم جزر المحيط الهادئ المشمول بالوصاية الى دورتها المعقودة في عام ١٩٩٥ )انظر الفقرة ١٨(.

The phrase " Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands " would be retained to cover the remaining territories and, pending further action by the Economic and Social Council, should be read in accordance with Security Council resolution 683 (1990) and General Assembly resolutions 46/2 and 46/3.

8. At its 1701st meeting, on 17 May 1993, 5/ the Trusteeship Council adopted the report of its Drafting Committee on conditions in the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands containing the Council's conclusions and recommendations (see part I, sect. K, and part II). 6/

Pursuant to paragraph 3 of Security Council resolution 70 (1949) of 7 March 1949, the Secretary-General has the honour to transmit to the members of the Security Council the report of the United States Government on the administration of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands for the period from 1 October 1992 to 20 September 1993. 1/
عملا بالفقرة ٣ من قرار مجلس اﻷمن ٧٠ )١٩٤٩( المؤرخ ٧ آذار/مارس ١٩٤٩، يتشرف اﻷمين العام بأن يحيل الى أعضاء مجلس اﻷمن تقرير حكومة الولايات المتحدة عن ادارة اقليم جزر المحيط الهادئ المشمول بالوصاية في الفترة من ١ تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩٢ الى ٢٠ أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٣)١(.

It was understood that reservations expressed by Norway at the 1383rd meeting, on 7 August (see A/AC.109/PV.1383), and by Norway, Chile, Czechoslovakia and Bulgaria at the 1393rd meeting (see A/AC.109/PV.1393), concerning the draft resolution on the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, would be reflected in the record of the meeting.
