Notification by the States parties concerned 1. A communication under article 21 of the Convention may be referred to the Committee by either State party concerned by notice given in accordance with paragraph 1 (b) of that article.

The Chairman of the Committee requested the Secretariat to forward to the Committee any reply to the response from the Division, and any future requests for assistance from coastal States.
وطلب رئيس اللجنة من الأمانة العامة أن تحيل إلى اللجنة أي رد على الطلب الوارد على الشعبة وأي طلبات مساعدة ترد في المستقبل من دول ساحلية.

It is implicit in article 4, paragraph 2, of the Optional Protocol that the State party has the duty to investigate in good faith all allegations of violations of the Covenant made against it and its representatives and to furnish to the Committee the information available to it.
