For 2001, the members of the Council elected Moctar Ouane (Mali) as Chairman, the delegations of Ireland and Tunisia providing the Vice-Chairmen.

The bureau of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 918 (1994) concerning Rwanda consisted, for 2001, of Moctar Ouane (Mali) as Chairman, the delegations of Ireland and Tunisia providing the two Vice-Chairmen.
