١ - يحق لكل ولد عصب أو متبنّى قانونا يتوفى عنه عضو في المحكمة أو عضو سابق فيها، أن يتقاضى، ما لم يتزوج وما دام دون الحادية والعشرين، معاشا يحسب كما يلي:

A survivors' pension includes a child's and surviving spouse's pension.
ومعاش الباقين علي قيد الحياة يتضمن معاشا للطفل وللزوج الباقي أيضا.

The definition excludes former staff members who are not in receipt of a pension benefit from the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund, for example, staff members who opted for withdrawal of their benefit.
ولا يشمل التعريف الموظفين السابقين الذين لا يتلقون معاشا تقاعديا من الصندوق المشترك للمعاشات التقاعدية لموظفي الأمم المتحدة، مثل الموظفين الذين اختاروا سحب استحقاقاتهم من المعاش التقاعدي.
