This right is safeguarded by the Constitution, the precepts of religious law and the Criminal Code.
وهذا الحق مصون دستورياً، وفي المبادئ الشرعية الدينية، وفي قانون العقوبات.

Article 28, paragraph 4: The right to bring legal proceedings, to file an appeal and to present a defence in court is safeguarded by law;

71. The right of participation in public affairs is safeguarded by the Basic Law of the State and accorded to all Omani men and women.
