Via attorney Marwan Dalal, the human rights groups claimed that on 14 August, Nidal Abu Muhsein, 19, was killed when IDF soldiers forced him to walk ahead of them and knock on the door of his neighbour in the West Bank village of Toubas during an Israeli operation to arrest a wanted man in the village.
ويقول المحامي مروان دلال على لسان جماعات الدفاع عن حقوق الإنسان، أن الجنود قتلوا في 4 آب/أغسطس نضال أبو محسن البالغ من العمر 19 عاما عندما أرغموه على السير أمامهم وطرق باب جاره.

In his petition for a temporary restraining order, Dalal insisted that there was no difference between human shields and " neighbour practice " . According to Dalal, the Palestinians selected for neighbour practice or as human shields were forced to be collaborators in the effort to protect IDF soldiers, an infringement of the Geneva Convention, said Dalal, which granted a civilian living in occupied territory freedom from coercion.
وتمسك دلال بأن لا فرق بين الدروع البشرية وتسخير الجيران قائلا إن الفلسطينيين الذين يختارهم الجيش لأغراض ممارسة تسخير الجيران، أي لاستخدامهم دروعا بشرية، يرغَمون على التعاون مع الجيش حماية للجنود، وهو ما يعد انتهاكا لاتفاقية جنيف التي تكفل للمدنيين المقيمين في أراض محتلة عدم التعرض لأعمال قسرية.
