Mr. PIBULSONGGRAM (Thailand): My delegation is pleased that the agenda item on the question of equitable representation on and increase in the membership of the Security Council is being taken up again by the General Assembly at its current session.

In this connection, my delegation is pleased with the progress achieved thus far, but remains convinced that our efforts remain insufficient and have not reached the limits of our abilities.

In addition, my delegation is pleased to inform the Assembly that the Non-Aligned Movement is engaging in preliminary consultations towards the convening of a special meeting of regional and international groupings concerning Palestine some time next year.
وبالإضافة إلى ذلك يسر وفد بلادي أن يبلغ الجمعية أن حركة عدم الانحياز تجري مشاورات أولية بشأن عقد اجتماع خاص للمجموعات الإقليمية والدولية بشأن فلسطين في وقت ما من العام القادم.

In closing, my delegation is pleased to announce its decision to sponsor draft resolution A/52/L.9 and commend to the Assembly that the draft be unanimously adopted.
